Instead of converting the analogue AV signal, it takes the video directly from the console's digital video bus and outputs it as HDMI. The result is much sharper and more stable than an external converter.

Output can be set to 480p or 1080p. The built-in on-screen menu, opened with a controller button combination, lets you choose aspect ratio and integer or full-screen scaling, add scanlines, and adjust image position and de-interlacing.

Compatible with fat PS2 motherboards GH-017, GH-019, GH-022, GH-023 and GH-026. Each board revision uses its own flex cable, so check the GH number printed on the motherboard before ordering. No plastic bracket is supplied.

This is an advanced mod. A flex cable has to be soldered to fine-pitch points on the console motherboard, and the HDMI port has to be mounted in the case. Good soldering skills and a fine-tipped iron are essential. Hispeedido does not supply printed instructions, but installation guides are available on request.

Fitting this kit means opening and modifying the console, which will void any warranty and is done at your own risk.
