Restore the saving ability of your favourite games with replacement tabbed batteries.
Batteries in original games drain slowly over time and will eventually need to be replaced.
Please be aware you will need to backup your saves before replacing the battery, as once the battery is disconnected you will loose the saves, tools such as the gbxcart and joey can be used to backup the saves before any soldering is done.
Batteries need to be desolderd and new ones soldered into place, a soldering iron will be needed, along with desoldering wick and fresh soler.
What size tabbed battery do i need for my Game Boy Game?
Whilst the original battery should have the part number such as CR2016 marked on it the sizes of the batteries are:
CR1616 = 16mm x 1.6mm
CR2025 = 20mm x 2.5mm
CR2032 = 20mm x 3.2mm
