NOTE: You should do a bench test before fitting this kit, testing the LCD screen with the protective film on, before installing it into the shell, any issues with the screen kit should be reported to support@zedlabz.com before install.

Modified IPS ready or DIY manually cut shell is required to use this kit, centering brackets (not included) is recommended for easier screen alignment if your not using a compatible IPS ready shell.
Features:
- DIY IPS screen kit for Nintendo Game Boy Advance consoles.
- Official Funnyplaying 2nd gen V2 type with no screen tearing
- 10 levels of brightness supported via soldering of 3 wires (optional)
- Includes LCD, adhesive, flex ribbon & hookup wire.
- Requires console housing modification and technical installation.
Description:
Bring your Game Boy into the modern era with a vivid LCD screen upgrade kit for Game Boy Advance consoles from Funnyplaying
The ribbon powering the LCD is a second generation type which is correctly synchronised to the Game Boy Advance to avoid screen tearing issues.
Optional soldering of 3 wires will provide 10 levels of brightness adjustment, this kit will work without soldering, the default brightness without soldering is full brightness, the only difference with soldering the wires is brightness control.
This kit includes all of the items needed to fit the screen into a modified housing (not included), which you can do yourself by cutting your own shell to make the room for the LCD, or by purchasing an IPS ready shell that will allow the kit to drop in. A centering bracket (not included) may be required depending on the type of shell you are using, it is recommended for normal non IPS shells. You will also need a modified glass screen lens to take advantage of the new LCD screen upgrade, it is not included with the kit, a number of different designs are available to purchase in the ZedLabz store.
You will need to have some patience and basic electronics skills to fit this kit, although purchasing a pre-modified shell can drastically reduce the effort required, and save you up to one hour of cutting and cleaning your own housing.
We recommend using the adhesive with caution, as once the LCD is stuck down, it is difficult to remove the LCD without cracking or breaking the LCD panel. You can use a bracket (not included) or use a few smaller pieces of the adhesive to hold the screen as an alternative to using the entire adhesive pad that is included.
Additional tools needed include a soldering iron and solder (not included).
Please note that the LCD screen and ribbon cable require care to install and are fragile in nature, they are also more susceptible to damage once installed if the console is dropped, LCD screens can crack under pressure or with a impact, our warranty does not cover accidental / user damage of any components in this kit.
Replacement parts will be available to purchase separately should you accidentally damage any of the parts.
Modified shell and modified screen lens are not included with this kit, there are a number of colours and styles available in the ZedLabz store to purchase.
