It fits inside the console behind the original controller ports, and once paired your Bluetooth pad works just like an original wired controller.

Up to 4 Bluetooth controllers can be connected at once, and you can mix them with original wired controllers. Plugging in a wired pad simply moves the wireless controller to the next free port. LEDs show the pairing status, and the console's reset button gains extra functions: hold it to test ports, disconnect controllers, enter pairing mode or restore factory settings.

Installation needs no soldering, trimming or external wires: the board fits behind the controller ports inside the console. Hispeedido makes two versions to suit the console's cooling fan connector (2-pin or 3-pin fan), so check your fan before ordering. The board has a socket for a CR1220 coin cell, which is not included.

This adapter is not a BlueRetro product and does not use BlueRetro firmware. It runs Hispeedido's own iBlueControlMod firmware and configuration app; do not flash BlueRetro firmware to it, as this will damage the board. Button mapping and firmware updates are done from a computer with Bluetooth; phones are not supported.

The console must be opened to fit this adapter, which will void any warranty and is done at your own risk.
