I recently added a backlight to my Game Boy Pocket, combine that with an EZ Flash Junior, the console was consuming more power than ever, giving me about 3 hours maximum on my rechargeable Eneloop AAAs. This cable remedies that problem, when I'm at home, I can just use this cable, while also having the peace of mind knowing that the console is getting the correct voltage due to the step-down converter built into the cable itself. Now I can save my batteries for when I really need them, and I don't have to worry about my Game Boy suddenly dying while I'm at home either, great product!
