There are 4 types of desoldering problems: 00 (Fine), AA (Small), AB (Medium), BB (Large), Please check compatibility before purchasing.
To use:
Press the wick end with a sufficiently hot and sufficiently thermal mass sized solder tip on desolder area. The cold wick end might cool down the hot tip considerably, especially if it is a low mass tip, and the solder transfer into wick gets slow, sticky and unsatisfactory. Change to a thermal higher mass tip, preferably with a chisel sized end. Simultaneously remove solder filled wick end and iron tip from joint. Cut off saturated wick end for the next desolder operation.
