Hot Wheels Unleashed is an arcade racer built around the die-cast cars themselves, orange track and all.
You race officially licensed Hot Wheels vehicles on tracks that loop through real domestic spaces - basements, garages, skateparks and college campuses - complete with loops, boosters and the magnet sections that let cars run along walls and ceilings.
The sense of scale is what makes it work. You are a toy car in a full-size world, and the track furniture, the jumps and the hazards are all built from that idea rather than being a conventional circuit shrunk down.
The Track Builder lets you construct your own circuits and share them, and there is a full car collection and customisation system for anyone who collected the real things.
Split-screen and online multiplayer are both supported.
