Description:
This replacement CR2032 solder-in battery is designed for the Nintendo GameCube, providing a compatible alternative to the factory-fitted CMOS battery responsible for maintaining the internal clock and system settings. It uses a CR2032-VBY2 style lithium cell with solder tabs suited for GameCube installation.
The included battery features slightly thinner metal tabs than the original Nintendo part, but the spacing / alignment is correct, ensuring full compatibility when soldered in place. This makes it a practical solution for restoring proper save-time and system clock functionality to consoles with depleted or ageing batteries.
The battery must be soldered directly to the controller port PCB board inside the GameCube. One battery is supplied per pack, pre-tabbed and ready for installation.
Please take note of the polarity when installing, the positive + symbol is shown on the controller port board inside the console.
