Description:

Finally put an end to controller drift with our Hall Effect joystick replacements. Designed as the ultimate solution for gamers frustrated by unreliable controls, our Hall Sense joysticks utilize magnetic sensor technology to address the wear issues commonly found in traditional joystick modules.

While the joysticks may look and feel the same as the originals, it's the reworked internal mechanism that sets them apart, leveraging the power of magnets to solve wear issues and premature failures often associated with joy-cons.

If you are suffering from drift or random joystick inputs then look no further than our hall sense replacements to keep you in the game and out of the repair shop.

Compatible with all original Nintendo Switch hardware, including Switch Joycon, Switch OLED Joycon, and Switch Lite models.

Includes one pair of hall sense joysticks, it is recommended to replace both the left and right at the same time, there is no left of right module so each replacmeent will fit either the left or right side control.

The problem with traditional analog sticks:

The problem in a nutshell shell is that most drift issues come down to the wearing of physical contacts inside the joystick, a conductive material which works as a resistor, sensing electrical power reading to the controller so that it can identify the position of the joystick.

In the case of the original joycon design, it uses sliding metal contact springs on the X and Y axis which touch and move along a conductive film, this film will wear down over time, and the wear on the conductive film causes the electrical readings from the joystick to change, resulting in drift.

How hall sense work:

Inside the joystick hall sensor joysticks, there are small IC components called Hall effect sensors, that detect changes in the joystick's position relative to a magnetic field. As you move the joystick, these sensors detect these changes and convert them into electrical signals. These signals are then transmitted to your gaming device, translating your movements into in-game actions.

This process happens in real-time, providing accurate and precise control over your gaming experience. By utilizing magnetic sensor technology, Hall Sense joysticks offer consistent and reliable performance thanks to their contact-free mechanism. This ensures that your gaming inputs are always captured with precision, without the risk of drift or inaccuracies over time.

Technical information:

This complete modular analog joystick button control is compatible with all regions of Nintendo Switch Joycon controller (Including those supplied with OLED consoles) or Switch Lite console.

Compatible with the left or right controller, includes one pair of hall sense modules in each pack, enough to upgrade one Joy Con controller set or one Switch Lite console.

Whilst other gaming devices may use the same Joycon style modules we are only able to guarantee compatibility with official Nintendo controller hardware.

Requires technical installation, the joycon controller of Switch Lite console just be opened, please note this will void any manufacturer warranty, opening your device could result in damage if done incorrectly, this is a DIY replacement part which is fitted at your own risk, please consult an expert if you are unsure.

A tri-wing screwdriver tool required to install this part (not included)

Calibrating the replacement joystick after installation:

You may need to recalibrate the controller after installing the new module, this can be done on any Nintendo Switch console, follow the following steps.

From the HOME Menu select System Settings, then scroll down the menu on the left-hand side and select Controllers and Sensors.

Select Calibrate Control Sticks then fully tilt the control stick in any single direction for a few seconds on the controller you want to calibrate.

Follow the on-screen prompts to verify the control stick functionality.

If the calibration is complete but is not immediately reflected when testing the control sticks, do the following:

- Set the console to sleep mode, then press the POWER Button to "wake it up" again.

- Reset the Joy-Con or Pro Controller by pressing the SYNC Button once, then press any other button to power it on again.
