Description:

The Joey Jr V2++ is the latest iteration of the easy to use game cart dumper / flasher by Benn Venn Electronics.

V2++ is the fastest Joey Jr to date. 65% faster GBA dumping than V2CC, 35% faster GBC dumping. Flashing up to 35% faster.

Joey Jr needs no software or drivers. It works much like an external hard drive. You can drag your roms and save off, or on. You can play your cart directly in an emulator from the cart and saves will be automatically updated on the cart when you're done. Super easy to apply gameshark codes, high speed grinding, patching etc. Ideal for battery swaps, GB Camera image extractions, Save and ROM backups.

Cart compatibility:

All official GBA carts supported: ROM dumping, Reading and writing of all save types, EEPROM, SRAM, FRAM, Flash128k/Flash64k.

All official GB & GBC carts supported: ROM dumping, Reading and writing of all save types SRAM, FRAM - Including GBA e-reader

GB camera image dumping is supported! All your images conveniently presented as bitmap files to your PC, tablet, phone etc.

Unofficial cart Flashing: Third party carts are regularly sourced to check and add support where necessary. If you have an unsupported cart, head over to the BennVenn discord for support. If you provide all the details to Benn Venn they will try to ensure it's added to the next firmware update.

Windows compatible - Mac compatibility not guaranteed but has been tested as working with older Mac from 2008 - It is generally expected that it will work with newer OS, you can ask in the discord for the latest information.

Transfer speeds:

GBA cart dumping 710kbytes per second - ~23 seconds for a 128mbit GBA cart (Pokemon for example).

GB/C cart dumping - ~330kbytes per second - 3 seconds to dump Pokemon Red, can boot in an emulator faster than on a real Gameboy.

GBA Bootleg Flashing speed up to 355kbytes per second - under 50 seconds to flash Pokemon Ruby (16mbytes) to your bootleg. 12minutes to reflash a 2048Mb GBA multi-cart

GB/C Bootleg Flashing speed - 90kbytes per second - 1mbyte ROM (Pokemon red) in 12seconds.

Great Device

This is an amazing device. I have just received it and had it up and running in no time. Super service from ZedLabz and great community around the Benn Venn Discord to help but was straightforward once I downloaded Flash GBX. Used my iPhone USB C cable into my MacBook and all working great.

Very easy to use im only using it to back up game saves but it does exactly what I want it too, highly recommend

Great little device

Largely does what I need it to. I struggled with it at first as I had some issues with getting a cable to work, but once I got it to work, it connected to my PC just like a USB. Any issues that I had with the device were quickly rectified when I contacted BennVenn on Discord, and BennVenn and the other people on the Discord server were happy to help me with these issues. Updating the device was relatively simple. The instructions for this are available on BennVenn’s website. This device is also good at detecting bootlegs, as far as I can see, though you can still use the Joey Jr with them.

I recommend that you have some isopropyl alcohol to clean your games with before using this device as it will ensure that everything works correctly, and ensure that nothing is corrupted when transferring save data to and from your cartridge.

The only problem that my device continues to have is with the ability to play games straight from the cartridge on your PC. I personally find that this doesn’t work for me and that I have to dump the ROM and save data as the game either doesn’t load, or freezes within a few seconds, but this may be an issue with my PC rather than with the Joey Jr.

Either way, I am very pleased with it, and I can now reliably preserve my save files.

Ich habe den "Joey Junior JR V2++" jetzt schon ein paar Tage und bin sehr begeistert davon. Jahre lang hab ich nach einer einfachen Möglichkeit gesucht Bilder von der GameBoy Camera auf den PC oder das Smartphone zu kopieren und mit diesem Gerät ist das nun endlich möglich! Es funktioniert einwandfrei (und vor allem auch einfach).
Es ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen, für alle, die die 0,014 Megapixel großen Bilder ihrer Liebsten für die Nachwelt erhalten wollen.
Hab ich schon erwähnt das ich sehr begeistert bin? 😉😁
