No mounting bracket

For anyone doing this for the first time. Zedlabs does not include the mounting bracket for centering the screen in this kit like other companies do. It's near impossible to align it properly without this bracket. don't be fooled.

The screen works fine and the size is nice for gaming on it

NOTE: You should do a bench test before fitting this kit, testing the LCD screen with the protective film on, before installing it into the shell, any issues with the screen kit should be reported to support@zedlabz.com before install.

You will need a modified glass screen lens with an enlarged viewing window for this kit (not included), the original size screen lens window is too small, and will obscure some of the larger LCD panel this upgrade offers.

Modified IPS ready or DIY manually cut shell is required to use this kit, centering brackets (not included) but recommended for easier screen alignment.

Retro Pixel IPS LCD Screen kit for Nintendo Game Boy DMG-01 handheld console.

Shell modification (cutting of plastic inside the shell) is required to fit this kit or alternatively an IPS ready shell replacement can be used.

LCD and ribbon have the overall power consumption between 0.3w to 0.8w.

Kit contains: 1x IPS LCD, 1x DMG ribbon, 1x 3M installation tape, , 1x DMG button board, 1x DMG motherboard cable.

This kit requires retrofitting the construction of the shell, soldering of speaker. Please seek professional advice if unsure.

When the grid line mode is turned on, some game scenes will flash when switching, which is a refresh problem of the motherboard of the game machine itself. There will also be on the original screen but the original screen refresh rate is so slow that it is not easy to find. This does not affect the perfect display effect of IPS LCD.

Due to the limitation of the early technology, the DMG motherboard adopts analog sound and has a Noise floor. The assembly of IPS LCD will increase of the host and increase the Noise floor, but it is subtle and difficult to detect at a distance of 10cm.
