Description:

Mod the classic controls that you know and love by swapping out your GameCube's old sticks with these custom coloured replacements.

This custom set of thumbsticks add colour and style to a Nintendo GameCube controller without affecting performance.

The sticks consist of a plastic bottom with a rubber top grip area just like the original parts.

They are ideal for replacing warn or damaged controls, or to customise the controller and give it a new look.

Each pack contains a left thumbstick and a right thumbstick known as the c-stick.

The replacements will fit Official Nintendo GameCube controllers and many unofficial third party controllers.

Replacing the thumb sticks requires you to open the controller, technical level low to medium.

You will need a tri-wing security screwdriver to open the controller (not included).

Never received my product

Okay

I ordered the sticks in the original grey and yellow colours, because the original sticks of my controllers were very worn out.

The shape and materials are close enough, however holding them side by side you can notice that the replacement ones use a thinner plastic. The color is a bit off and the rubber also has a cheaper feel to it.
The grey replacement stick also lacks a small "cut-out" hole at the bottom, that makes it so the stick doesnt touch a small resistor on the pcb, when its rotated. Instead the whole "bowl" at the bottom is smaller, so there are small gaps, when you push the stick to one side, and some dust can get into the controller.

The biggest flaw is, that the holes in the stick stem are too deep and the sticks cannot be rotated correctly, because the underside of the big analog stick touches the controller shell.
This can be fixed by inserting a small piece of paper into the stem hole, so the stick doesnt go in as deep. After this small mod, it works well enough. However its still an annoying thing to keep in mind and I don't know why it is produced like that.

These are fine to refresh some old controllers but they are definitely not a 1:1 replacement. I will probably buy different ones instead, next time

Excellent product, but has minor flaw

The right stick fits flawlessly, but the stalk hole in the left stick is milled out far too deep, the stick itself pushes down too far along the stalk and fails to properly fit the controller case. This can be solved with some simple and minor modifications, but it should be known to users to expect it.
Otherwise an extremely helpful product. I give 4/5.
