Retro Pixel IPS LCD screen kit for Nintendo Game Boy Pocket & Game Boy Light consoles.
Supports 36 different colour modes and variable brightness, on the higher brightness levels this mod may not function without constant voltage batteries, this is due to the smaller AAA batteries that the Pocket console uses.
LCD and the ribbon of the overall power consumption between 0.3W to 0.8W.
Items needed for this mod: IPS ready or cut housing shell & IPS modified glass lens (not included)
Soldering is required to install this product, please seek professional assistance if unsure.
(Required soldering) One piece of hookup wire must be soldered from a pin on the consoles power switch to the power pad on the ribbon, this provides power to allow the LCD to work.
(Optional) soldering of the touch pad sensor to the touch sensor pad on the ribbon, you do not have to install this, but it is required for brightness adjustment, default brightness will be full brightness with or without the sensor installed.
When the grid line mode is turned on, some game scenes will flash when switching, which is a refresh problem of the motherboard of the game machine itself.
There will also be on the original screen but the original screen refresh rate is so slow that it is not easy to find. This does not affect the perfect display effect of IPS LCD.
Compatible with Nintendo Game Boy Pocket & Light consoles only, not compatible with other models. Please check compatibility before purchasing.
