Description: 

This fan installation kit is designed to mount a high airflow quiet fan in the place of the original stock Dreamcast fan, it was designed by Laser bear industries and has become the standard design for Noctua fan installs.

Note: This kit is not compatible with early revision Dreamcast consoles know as VA0, these systems are fairly rare outside of Japan, if you have a silver or grey fan attached to a metal heatsink inside your console then you own a VA0 model.

It is specifically built for the Noctua NF-A4x10 5V fan.(not included)

The lid latch also has to be changed when installing this fan mod to allow enough room for the fan and duct to fit inside the console.

Improvements have been made to the lid latch to make this stronger, included in the kit is a short and long part two of the latch which makes this kit more compatible with 3rd party shells (Short latch for OEM and Long latch for 3rd party)

This mod shines in systems with GDROM emulators like the USB-GDROM and the GDEMU and MODE, it makes those systems nearly silent, it may not do much to systems with the original disk drive still installed as the disk drive is louder than the cooling fan. 

The kit includes:

3d printed fan duct

3d printed two part replacement door release latch
- Latch part one is the larger latch part screwed into the console
- Latch part two has two options, one with a small hook latch for OEM shells, long hook latch is for some 3rd party shells.
(Part two needs to be inserted through the hole on part 1)

A compatible Dreamcast console
A Noctua Noctua NF-A4x10 5V (3pin only)
Adapter cable for the Noctua fan
