Description:
Finally, say goodbye to controller drift with Ginfull TMR joystick replacements. Designed for gamers tired of unreliable controls, Ginfull TMR Sense joysticks use advanced magnetic sensor technology to tackle the common wear issues that plague traditional joystick modules.
While the Ginfull TMR Sense joysticks maintain a familiar feel, they are built with a more accurate and durable internal mechanism. By utilizing magnetic technology instead of the usual carbon contacts, these joysticks offer superior precision and eliminate the risk of wear and premature failures that often cause drift in the original models.
If you’ve been battling drift or random joystick inputs, Ginfull TMR Sense replacements are the perfect solution to keep you playing and avoid costly repairs.
Compatible with all original Nintendo Switch hardware, including Switch Joy-Con, Switch OLED Joy-Con, and Switch Lite models.
Each pack includes one pair of Ginfull TMR joysticks. We recommend replacing both the left and right joysticks at the same time, as each module can be used on either side (there is no left or right-specific module).
The problem with traditional joycon analog modules:
If you’ve ever had your game character move on their own or struggle to stay still, you’ve likely experienced “Joy-Con drift.” It’s one of the most frustrating issues for Switch players, and it’s not your fault.
The original Joy-Con joysticks use carbon contacts inside the controller that wear down over time with regular use. These contacts help detect the joystick’s position, but as they get rubbed by constant movement, they wear down, reducing the performance until it no longer functions properly and starts to move on its own, a problem commonly referrred to as drift.
How TMR modules work to solve drift:
TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) modules provide a simple, yet highly effective solution to joystick drift.
Unlike the original Joy-Con design, TMR sensors use magnetic fields to detect movement, the sensor doesn’t rely on physical contact, so there’s no friction or wear that can degrade performance.
As the joystick moves, a small magnet interacts with the TMR sensor, providing precise and accurate readings without the risk of drift. This contactless technology ensures smoother, longer-lasting performance, giving you a more reliable gaming experience free from the frustration of drifting controls.
Technical information:
This complete modular analog TMR joystick is compatible with all regions of Nintendo Switch Joycon controller (Including those supplied with OLED consoles) or Switch Lite console.
Compatible with the left or right controller, includes one pair of TMR modules in each pack, enough to upgrade one Joy Con controller set or one Switch Lite console.
Whilst other gaming devices may use the same Joycon style modules we are only able to guarantee compatibility with official Nintendo controller hardware.
Requires technical installation, the joycon controller of Switch Lite console just be opened, please note this will void any manufacturer warranty, opening your device could result in damage if done incorrectly, this is a DIY replacement part which is fitted at your own risk, please consult an expert if you are unsure.
A tri-wing screwdriver tool required to install this part (not included)
Calibrating the replacement joystick after installation:
You may need to recalibrate the controller after installing the new module, this can be done on any Nintendo Switch console, follow the following steps.
From the HOME Menu select System Settings, then scroll down the menu on the left-hand side and select Controllers and Sensors.
Select Calibrate Control Sticks then fully tilt the control stick in any single direction for a few seconds on the controller you want to calibrate.
Follow the on-screen prompts to verify the control stick functionality.
If the calibration is complete but is not immediately reflected when testing the control sticks, do the following:
- Set the console to sleep mode, then press the POWER Button to "wake it up" again.
- Reset the Joy-Con or Pro Controller by pressing the SYNC Button once, then press any other button to power it on again.
