Description:If your Game Boy is no longer powering on you should first check for continuity of the two fuses in the positioned labelled F1 and F2.
The original fuses are something like 20 plus years old now, and may blow for a number of reasons including when you are trying to repair or modify a console.
This pack includes two genuine Kyorcera AVX branded fuses made in Israel, 0805 SMD footprint, 1A 63V, part number F0805B1R00FWTR.
Replacing the fuses requires soldering on two sides of the fuse, these are not as small as some fuses which makes them slightly easier to solder, however beginners may still struggle to solder parts of this size.
If your not confident in soldering yet, practice on junk electronics or ask something else to solder it for you.
Keeping some fuses on hand is a must, bridging the fuse position is not recommended, the fuses are in place to protect the rest of the mainboard against surges of power etc.
Screwdrivers will be needed to open the console, a soldering iron, solder and tweezers will be needed to install, desoldering braid and flux are also useful for such jobs, non of these items are included.
