Description:

This Triad Magnetics WSX090-2500-R is a high-quality regulated 9V 2.5A power supply that is a direct replacement for the original adaptor on a wide range of consoles that use a 5.5 x 2.1mm centre-negative plug.

It plugs straight into the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis model 1, Master System 1 and 2, SG-1000 and Mark III, Mega-CD 1 and 2, NES top loader, Famicom and AV Famicom, Super Famicom and Super Famicom Jr, NEC PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 (and CD-ROM2/Shuttle), Atari Jaguar and the 10V-regulated Neo Geo AES. The 2.5A rating gives plenty of headroom, so with a 5.5 x 2.1mm Y-splitter it can even run a Mega Drive and Mega-CD together.

Cheap generic adaptors often cause video interference, buzz or audio hum. Triad supplies are well regulated, low ripple and properly safety certified, making them a favourite of the retro community.

It has a universal 100-240V input and comes with interchangeable UK, EU, US and AU/NZ wall plugs, so it can be used anywhere. Do not use it on the Mega Drive 2, PAL SNES or PAL NES, which need different plugs or polarity, or on 5V Neo Geo AES consoles.
