Redemption Reapers is a dark fantasy tactical RPG about a small mercenary band fighting a war they are steadily losing against the Mort.
Battles are grid-based and deliberately punishing. Positioning is everything, and the assault system - which lets allies chain into one another's attacks - is what turns a hopeless engagement into a survivable one.
The tone is bleak throughout, and consistently so. This is a story about attrition rather than heroism, and the game does not soften it with the usual fantasy flourishes.
A strategy release for players who want their tactics games to bite back, and one that stands apart from the brighter end of the genre.
