Get back to taking pictures by replacing the camera ribbon cable in your DSi XL console.

A replacement dual camera ribbon flex cable is the solution to most DSi XL camera faults, including no picture from either camera, error messages in the camera app or a ribbon that has been worn or damaged.

Compatible with Nintendo DSi XL / LL only. Not suitable for the standard DSi or other DS models.

Fitting requires a lot of disassembly. The camera ribbon runs from the main board, through the hinge and into the top half of the console alongside the top screen cable, so the console must be fully opened, the top half separated and both cables carefully fed back through the hinge.

Take care when routing the new ribbon through the hinge. Do not crease, pinch or pull the cable tight, and make sure it sits flat before closing the console, as a trapped ribbon can stop the cameras working.

Fitting this part requires a medium to high level of technical ability, we would not recommend it for beginners.
