What's the difference between FunnyPlaying laminated and Hispeedido drop-in IPS?

FunnyPlaying laminated kits use a laminated panel (cover glass bonded to the LCD), which produces a brighter, sharper image with no air gap. They typically need a matching IPS-ready shell to fit. Hispeedido drop-in kits fit the original screen opening on a standard shell with no trimming, easier install but the panel isn't laminated. Both produce a major brightness upgrade over the original; the laminated kit wins on image quality, the drop-in wins on install simplicity.

Do FunnyPlaying laminated kits work with non-FunnyPlaying shells?

The matching FunnyPlaying IPS-ready shells are the recommended pairing because they're pre-cut for the kit's panel size.
