Can I fix DualSense drift?

Yes. The standard fix is replacing the analog stick module, either with a like-for-like part or with a hall-effect upgrade. Hall-effect modules use magnetic sensors that avoid the contact-wear failure mechanism. The install requires a tri-point Y00 driver and basic soldering for the stick module's pins.

Are PS5 disc and Digital faceplates interchangeable?

No. Disc and Digital Edition consoles have different faceplate cutouts because of the disc-drive opening on the disc model. Verify which revision you have before ordering. The 2023 Slim revision uses a different faceplate format again from the original launch hardware.

Should I open my PS5 to clean the fan?

After 2–3 years of use, dust accumulation in the fan and intake is normal and worth addressing. The PS5 has accessible side panels that pop off without tools, exposing the fan duct. A more thorough clean and thermal paste refresh requires a deeper teardown, set aside an evening for a careful first attempt and watch a teardown video first.

How long does a DualSense stick replacement take?
