For most of our customers – in the USA, EU, Switzerland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand – we deliver duties and taxes paid: everything is included in the price at checkout and there is nothing further to pay on delivery. For Norway we collect VAT at checkout; import duty rarely applies to our products, but in the uncommon cases where it does, it is payable on delivery. Where this page states that duties and taxes are included for your country, you can rely on it.
For all other countries, the information below is provided as general guidance only. Import rules change frequently and vary by country, and ZedLabz cannot guarantee its accuracy. If we are unable to offer a taxes-paid delivery to your country, please check what duties and taxes may apply before ordering by consulting your local customs office or your country’s import regulations.
A quick guide to the terms used on this page
VAT (Value Added Tax) – a tax on the sale of goods, charged as a percentage of the price. It goes by different names depending on where you live: sales tax in the USA, GST in Canada, Australia and New Zealand (HST or PST in some Canadian provinces), MVA in Norway and MWST / TVA / IVA in Switzerland. Whatever it’s called, it is the same thing: a consumption tax that is normally due when goods are imported.
Included in your checkout price for: USA, Canada, EU, Switzerland, Norway, Australia and New Zealand.
Duty (import duty / customs duty) – a separate charge applied by customs to goods arriving from another country, calculated as a percentage of the goods’ value and set according to the type of product. In most countries the gaming parts and accessories ZedLabz sells fall under a 0% duty rate, so in practice no duty is charged.
Included in your checkout price for: USA, Canada, EU, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand. For Norway, duty is not collected at checkout; it rarely applies to our products but is payable on delivery if it does.
Admin, handling or brokerage charges – a fee charged by the carrier, postal service or customs broker for processing an import and collecting any tax or duty due on your behalf. These are set by the carrier, not by customs, and can be a flat fee or a percentage.
Not applied to orders for: USA, Canada, EU, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand – there is nothing to collect, so no fee is charged. For Norway, a handling fee may be charged only in the rare cases where duty is due.
Duties and taxes paid (DDP) – where all of the above is included in your checkout price and handled by ZedLabz. Your parcel is delivered with nothing further to pay.
Available for: USA, Canada, EU, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand. Norway orders are delivered VAT paid.
Import threshold (de minimis) – many countries only charge tax or duty on imports above a certain value. Below that value, goods enter free of charge. Thresholds vary widely by country and are set by local law.
United States & Canada
Import duty and taxes are included in the price you pay at checkout. There is nothing further to pay before delivery. Your order arrives via your usual mail carrier with no customs handling fees or admin charges.
European Union
Orders up to €150 (excluding VAT)
VAT is collected at checkout and your order is delivered VAT paid under the EU’s IOSS scheme. No further VAT or customs charges will be applied by your local customs authority, carrier or post office.
Orders over €150 (excluding VAT)
We still collect all taxes due at checkout and handle the import charges on your behalf through a customs broker, usually the courier (for example DPD or UPS). There is nothing further to pay before delivery.
In both cases, duties and taxes are included in the price you pay. Your order arrives with no customs handling fees or admin charges.
Switzerland
Duties and taxes – including Swiss VAT (MWST / TVA / IVA) – are included in the price you pay at checkout. There is nothing further to pay before delivery. Your order arrives with no customs handling fees or admin charges from the carrier or post office.
Australia & New Zealand
Duties and taxes are included in the price you pay at checkout. There is nothing further to pay before delivery. Your order arrives via your usual mail carrier with no customs handling fees or admin charges.
Norway
VAT (MVA) is collected at checkout and your order is delivered VAT paid under Norway’s VOEC scheme. No further VAT will be charged by customs, the carrier or the post office.
Import duty is not collected at checkout. The gaming parts and accessories ZedLabz sells almost always fall under a 0% duty rate in Norway, so in the great majority of cases there is nothing further to pay. In the rare event that duty does apply to an item, it will be collected by the carrier before delivery, and the carrier may add a handling fee for doing so.
Other European countries (outside the EU, Switzerland and Norway)
Orders shipped to European countries that are not EU member states – for example Iceland, Serbia, Turkey, the Channel Islands (Jersey and Guernsey), Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine – may be subject to local import duties and taxes. These are not included in the price you pay at checkout.
You are responsible for paying any duties and taxes that apply. These are normally collected by the carrier before delivery, and the carrier may also add a handling fee. Sales tax may only be charged above a certain order value, and most goods sold by ZedLabz fall under a 0% import duty rate, but we cannot guarantee this for your country.
