Description:

Loose, drifting or gritty N64 sticks are usually caused by the plastic gears inside the joystick module wearing against each other, which creates the familiar white dust and a large deadzone.

Retro Unit's upgrade gears replace the two high-wear plastic parts with die-cast aluminium, machined for a tight fit and finished with a thin black epoxy coating so they glide smoothly against the original plastic bowl and housing.

To fit them, fully strip the original joystick module, clean out all the old plastic dust, apply a light coat of the included PTFE grease and refit the new gears in place of the originals.

These gears are designed for original Nintendo controllers only and will not fit third-party or reproduction pads.
