Description:
This official FunnyPlaying laminated LCD is a direct replacement for the M2 version of the laminated IPS 3.0 display kit for the Game Boy Advance. It includes the full laminated assembly, the IPS panel bonded to the protective front glass screen lens, exactly as supplied in the full kit.
A replacement laminated LCD is needed when the original screen has been cracked, scratched during use, or the ribbon cable has been torn when installing (or further modding the console). Because the glass and IPS panel are permanently bonded, any damage to the surface or underlying LCD requires replacing the entire laminated module.
This screen is compatible only with M2 laminated kits. It is not compatible with the first-generation (non-M2) laminated 3.0 kits and cannot be used as a standalone upgrade. You must already have the full laminated M2 kit — including the driver board, ribbon, bracket and laminated shell for this screen to be usable.
NOTE: Before fitting, the screen should be bench tested with the protective film still applied to confirm functionality and compatibility with your existing parts.
To identify if you have an M2 display, refer to the ribbon cable style attached to the LCD, the M2 version has a large "L" shape as shown in the image, if your bad screen matches this ribbon shape, you have an M2 screen. If in doubt, contact our support team for assistance in identifying what you have.
