Each box guarantees a console-specific IPS screen and a curated mix of shells, buttons, tools, and more. Expect approximately double the purchase price in value. Colors and items are random, and we are unable to customize.

This box allows a full Game Boy build (excluding the motherboard - you will need your own).

Note: You may need to refurbish your board—such as replacing capacitors or cleaning the power switch to use the IPS. A soldering iron may be required. Also, good quality batteries or rechargeables are recommended, as IPS screens typically need solid power.

IPS kits included will vary depending on console model and availability, every box will include a screen kit matching the game boy version stated for the selected mystery box, shells in the same box will be paired to the IPS type,

Not great value

It took a long time to arrive in the US, and I had to send it back once as they sent the wrong items. Once the package arrived, it had one black IPS screen, 2 shells, 3 sets of buttons, and some plastic spudgers and screwdrivers. I would not call this everything you need for a full build, as no speaker, battery, hinge, or charge port accessories/upgrades were included.

If you do not need spudgers and screwdrivers, you probably won't need this. If you are new to refurbishing consoles, this may make a nice starter kit as none of the accessories required soldering.

Quite the box of goodies!

I can't fault what I received for the price paid, it was quite the box of goodies! (make sure you salvage the hinges from your original GBASP shell as these aren't included in the replacement shell kit).

I hit a minor snag with what I thought was a faulty IPS screen which was resolved by refitting the ribbon cable to the screen PCB. I also wasn't sure if the foam insert was conductive, so erred on the side of caution and applied some Kapton tape over the PCB to insulate it.
