Psikyo Shooting Library Vol. 2 collects a run of Psikyo's arcade shoot 'em ups on one PlayStation 4 disc.
Samurai Aces (1993) opens the set - the Shogun's daughter has been kidnapped by an evil cult, and six unlikely heroes have to rescue her before she is sacrificed to resurrect a demon god.
Tengai (1996) continues the story, with the militaristic cult Shinrano capturing the Shogun's daughter for the same purpose, and a group of misfits forced to rise to the occasion. Sengoku Cannon, also known as Samurai Aces III (2005), closes out that thread with villagers disappearing and a plot involving soul-bearing machines.
Gunbird (1994) is the outlier and arguably the highlight: a witch girl, a robot, an adventurer with a jetpack, a martial artist and a monkey warrior all chasing the pieces of a magic mirror so they can make a wish.
Vertical-scrolling arcade shooting from one of the most respected studios in the genre, preserved properly rather than emulated carelessly.
