How long should a DS Lite battery last today?

Original DS Lite batteries from launch are now well past their normal cycle life. A fresh 800mAh cell typically restores battery life varies with screen brightness, typically several hours per charge, wireless use and game. Can I play GBA games on a DS Lite?

Yes. The DS Lite's Slot 2 takes original Nintendo Game Boy Advance cartridges natively. The DS Lite remains a popular way to play GBA games on a backlit screen without modding a GBA SP. (The later Nintendo DSi and 3DS removed Slot 2.)

What's the Game Boy Macro? Are these parts compatible?

The Game Boy Macro is a community mod that converts a DS Lite (often one with a broken top screen) into a single-screen GBA-only handheld by removing the top half. The Helder 800mAh battery and the Helder Macro FlexAmp speaker mod are both compatible with Macro builds.
