Rizers and elevated display lifts. FAQs
What is a Rizer used for?
Rizers are tiered acrylic platforms that lift the back row of a display shelf above the front, so taller items behind shorter items remain visible. Modded consoles, sealed games, controllers, figurines and trading card toploaders all benefit from tiered display in a glass cabinet or open shelf.
Will a Rizer fit a Game Boy or Switch?
Most 2-tier Rizers are designed as flat platforms rather than console-specific cradles, so they accommodate handhelds (Game Boy, GBA, Switch), home consoles laid flat, and accessory boxes. For a console-specific upright cradle, see console display stands.
Are toploader stands compatible with most card sleeves?
The 5-pack toploader display stands fit standard rigid plastic toploaders used for Pokemon, YuGiOh, Magic: The Gathering and sports cards. Penny sleeves and double-sleeved cards in standard toploaders typically work normally; oversized or custom-cut toploaders may not slot cleanly.
Clear or black acrylic, which display lift?
Clear acrylic blends visually into the cabinet and tends to look best behind glass with backlighting. Black acrylic provides higher contrast against most consoles and trading cards and looks more deliberate as a display surface in itself. Personal preference and shelf lighting are the main deciding factors.
Why bother with a Rizer instead of just a flat shelf?
A flat shelf hides whatever's in the back row behind whatever's in the front. Rizers add a few inches of vertical separation so a back-row Game Boy stays visible behind a front-row sealed game or controller. For deep cabinets and crowded shelves it tends to be the simplest fix; for a single-console display, a dedicated stand may look cleaner.
