The Wii's controller family. Wii Remote, Nunchuck, Classic Controller, Motion Plus add-on, has aged well, but consumable parts wear with use. Battery covers crack, silicone sleeves perish, Nunchuck sticks drift, and the Motion Plus units sometimes need a fresh ribbon. We stock the spares to keep a Wii rig fully functional.
Quick picks by symptom
- If a Wii Remote battery cover is cracked or missing: a replacement door snaps on directly. Quick five-minute fix.
- If your Nunchuck stick drifts: a replacement stick module is the standard fix, light soldering inside the Nunchuck shell.
- If the silicone sleeve has hardened or split: fresh sleeves restore grip and protect the remote. Drop-in, no tools needed.
The Wii controller repair ladder
- Battery cover, sleeve, wrist strap: the easy cosmetic refresh. No tools.
- Nunchuck stick replacement: open the Nunchuck shell, swap the stick module. Light soldering.
- Wii Remote internal repair: speaker, vibration motor, IR sensor board are all replaceable. Tri-wing screwdriver and patience required.
- Classic Controller spares: sticks, buttons, shell pieces all available. Similar teardown to the Wii Remote.
- Motion Plus add-on or built-in: original Motion Plus dongles and Motion Plus Inside remotes have different internals. Check which you have before ordering.

Nintendo Wii controller spare parts. FAQs
Can I fix Wii Nunchuck stick drift?
Yes. The Nunchuck stick is replaceable, open the shell, desolder the old module and fit the replacement. Light soldering job, similar to other small analog stick swaps. Set aside an evening if it's your first controller repair.
What's the difference between the original Wii Remote and Wii Remote Plus?
The original Wii Remote has Motion Plus support via a separate dongle that plugs into the bottom port. The Wii Remote Plus has Motion Plus built into the same shell, slightly different internals and PCB. Most external accessories work with both, but internal spares are revision-specific.
Are Wii silicone sleeves universal?
Most sleeves fit both the original Wii Remote and the Wii Remote Plus, the external dimensions are very close. Some aftermarket sleeves include the Motion Plus extension on the original; check the listing before ordering.
Why repair an old Wii Remote instead of buying new?
OEM Wii Remotes have crept up in price over the years and good-condition examples are increasingly hard to find. For an existing remote with a known-good PCB, fresh internals (battery contacts, vibration motor, sleeve) typically costs less than a clean second-hand replacement.
