The cross-console power catalog: AC adapters, charging cables, USB-C cables, replacement batteries and power supplies for the Game Boy family, Nintendo DS / 3DS / Switch family, PSP / Vita, PS4 / PS5 controllers, Xbox controllers, and most retro consoles. The catalog covers original-spec replacements (where the original part is no longer reliably sourced) and modern alternatives (USB-C upgrades, Li-Po battery mods, multi-region adapters).
Quick picks by need
- Easy entry point: a fresh charger for the console you're using daily. The most common purchase here.
- The crowd favorite: a USB-C cable plus a multi-region AC adapter, covers travel and the inevitable cable wear.
- The pro choice: a rechargeable battery mod for a retro handheld plus a USB-C charging upgrade, modern charging and modern runtime on a 25-year-old console. See USB-C mods.
The power-supply ladder
- Replace a missing or worn charger: the everyday job. AC adapters for original Game Boy, GBA SP, DS Lite, DSi, 3DS, PSP, Vita and most retro home consoles.
- Refresh charging cables: USB-C, Micro-USB and proprietary connectors. See charging cables.
- Replace battery cells: Li-Po cells in handhelds and controllers age out after ~5–10 years. Fresh cells restore stock-spec runtime.
- USB-C charging mod: for retro handhelds where you'd rather use a modern cable. Most kits charge at 5V USB-C (not USB-PD).
- Rechargeable battery mod: Li-Po pack instead of AA / proprietary cells on retro handhelds. See rechargeable battery mods.

Power sources. FAQs
Are AC adapters interchangeable across consoles?
Mostly no. Different consoles use different barrel jacks, different voltages and different polarity. Using the wrong adapter can damage the charging IC or the console itself. The DS Lite uses a distinct connector; the DSi / 3DS / 2DS family share an adapter; the GBA SP uses its own; original Game Boy and GBA use a barrel jack. Buy the platform-specific adapter listed for your console.
Will a USB-PD charger damage a retro USB-C mod?
Most retro USB-C charging mods are designed to negotiate as 5V USB-C devices, not USB-PD. They typically charge from any USB-C cable, including a phone charger or PD-capable charger, the charger's PD logic only delivers higher voltage when the device requests it. Verify the specific product description for charging spec; default safe practice is to use a standard 5V USB-C cable when in doubt.
How long do replacement batteries last?
Li-Po cells in handhelds and controllers typically last 3–5 years of regular use before noticeable capacity loss, and 5–10 years before they need replacing. Storage life varies, cells stored at full charge or fully empty degrade faster than cells stored at ~50%. Battery life per charge depends on screen brightness, audio, and what you're doing on the console.
Do replacement chargers ship with the right plug for my country?
Check the listing, most adapters specify the plug type (UK / EU / US). Multi-region adapters with interchangeable plug heads are stocked for travellers. If the listing doesn't specify, message support before ordering.
