If you played Cybernator back in the day, you could be forgiven for not knowing that you had actually received one of the most impactful entries into the Assault Suit series.  Renaming and changing the name for Western audiences was not uncommon with even the first in the series, Assault Suit Leynos, being renamed to Target Earth.  Developed by Masaya Games with a team led by producer Toshiro Tsuchida (creator of Arc the Lad and Front Mission series), Assault Suits Valken would have players experience intense mech armor battles, an in-depth weapon upgrade system, and a gripping story wracked with political turmoil.  Now, we are releasing it in both a collector's edition as well as a deluxe edition to celebrate a game that is close to celebrating its 30th anniversary.  As such, in our continued efforts for game preservation, each copy sold will donate a portion to our friends at the Video Game History Foundation.

What is included in each of the physical releases?

There is the collector’s edition which comes with a bronze-shielded 16-bit cartridge (NTSC or PAL), numbered deluxe hard-cover cartridge packaging, and a full-colored instruction manual.

The deluxe edition comes with an aurum armor gold 16-bit cartridge (NTSC or PAL), numbered deluxe hard-cover cartridge packaging, hard embossed collection slipcase, exclusive SoundBytes™ keychain, commemorative coin, a celebratory acrylic stand, and a full-colored instruction manual.
How many will be made?

The total number will depend on the amount pre-ordered during the ordering window. Each one will be individually numbered during production via a label on the inside sleeve of the packaging.

Will there be another reprint?

This is the only time you can purchase this release. We do not have plans for a reprint at this time.

How do I know if I am ordering the NTSC or PAL version?

The difference between them is the cartridge shape, the NTSC cartridge is rectangular, whilst the PAL cartridge is curved / oval - none of the contents will change. PAL consoles run at a displayed 50Hz while NTSC runs
at 60Hz.

Are there plans in place for future Assault Suits titles?

Currently, we have not announced any plans but we would love to get a chance at this in the future!

Is this translation the same as it is on Assault Suits Valken: Declassified on the Switch?

No, this is a totally different translation that we have been working on for some time. We did our best to keep it genuine with the original Japanese text from the Super Famicom version. Our team wanted to keep it as close to the Japanese intended text while making a few changes in order for the text to display properly. No existing translations were used and any similarities are coincidental.
