Some console jobs are easier to send out than to learn. ZedLabz offers custom 3D printing for console mod parts in FDM filament, ROM file writing and restore for Nintendo Game Boy, Color and Advance flash carts, and pre-arranged custom order adjustments by email. All services are run by the same in-house team that mods our own consoles, no farmed-out contractors.
Quick picks by service type
- Easy entry point: the digital eGift card voucher, gift the modder in your life store credit for parts they'll pick themselves.
- The crowd favorite: ROM file writing / restore service for Game Boy, GBC and GBA flash carts, send us the cart, we write the ROM you specify.
- The pro choice: custom 3D printing service in FDM filament for one-off mod brackets, button caps, shells and console accessories.
What's covered, what's not
- Covered: custom FDM 3D prints from supplied STL files for console mod parts; ROM and custom logo writing for Game Boy / GBC / GBA flash carts; custom order arrangements pre-discussed by email.
- Not currently covered as a service: full mod installs (we sell the kits and tools, not the install labour); board-level repair work (we sell the parts and components); refunds on bespoke jobs that have already been printed or written to the spec the customer approved.
- How it works: add the service product to cart, complete checkout, then email us the STL file or ROM file the order references. Custom orders should be arranged by email before purchase.
- Turnaround: depends on the job. Simple ROM writes typically dispatch with the next batch; FDM prints and bespoke jobs vary by complexity. We confirm timing on the email back.
- Honest scope: we won't promise things we can't deliver. If a job is outside what FDM printing or our writers can reasonably handle, we say so before charging.
Services are processed and any physical output is shipped worldwide with tracking. Bespoke print and ROM jobs are typically non-refundable once produced to the customer's brief.

ZedLabz services. FAQs
Do you offer console repair as a service?
Not as a standard listed service in this collection. ZedLabz is primarily a parts and mod-kit supplier, we sell the components and tools, and our services line covers custom 3D printing, ROM file writing and pre-arranged custom orders. For larger repair jobs, email us and we'll let you know whether it's something we can take on as a custom arrangement.
What can I get 3D printed?
FDM-printable console mod parts from a supplied STL file, brackets, custom button caps, internal jigs, shell fillers and similar. We typically print in standard FDM filament; very small or high-detail parts that need resin printing may not be suitable. Send the STL by email after ordering and we'll confirm whether the part is printable as designed.
What ROMs can you write to a flash cart?
The ROM file restore service is intended for legitimate use cases, restoring a backup of a ROM you legally own, writing custom logo files, or homebrew releases. Send the ROM file or logo by email after ordering. We don't supply ROM files; you supply the file, we write it to the cart.
How long do services take?
Depends on the job and the queue. Simple ROM writes typically go out with the next dispatch batch; bespoke 3D prints take longer and we confirm timing by email after you place the order. We'd rather set realistic expectations than miss them.
Are bespoke jobs refundable?
Bespoke 3D prints and custom ROM writes are typically non-refundable once produced to the customer's approved brief, because the output is unique to the customer and can't be resold. If a custom job goes wrong on our side (misprint, file written incorrectly), we'll redo it or refund.
