Is the PS Vita 1000 charger the same as the 2000?
No. The PCH-1000 uses a proprietary Sony multi-pin connector; the PCH-2000 (Slim) uses standard micro USB. They are not interchangeable. Confirm the model on the back of your Vita before ordering a cable.
Can I use a phone charger on the Vita Slim?
A standard micro USB cable will fit, but a phone charger may not output enough current to charge the Vita while it's powered on. A Vita-spec AC adapter (rated for the higher current draw) is more reliable.
Are Vita memory cards still made?
Sony stopped manufacturing genuine Vita memory cards. The community has produced microSD-to-Vita adapters (such as the SD2Vita) that work on hacked Vitas, these are widely used and inexpensive. Genuine Sony cards still surface as new-old-stock.
Do PS Vita cases fit both 1000 and 2000?
The Slim (PCH-2000) is slightly thinner than the original (PCH-1000), so a tight 1000 case may not fit a Slim and vice versa. Universal-fit Vita cases work on both. Model-specific cases note compatibility on the listing.
