Are PS4 original, Slim and Pro accessories interchangeable?
Many cables, controllers and headsets share across all three. Stands and faceplates are revision-specific, the original 2013 launch unit has different dimensions to the Slim and Pro. Charging docks and most disc storage cross over without issue.
Do PS4 accessories work on a PS5?
Some. DualShock 4 pads work with PS4 games on PS5 (not PS5-native titles), HDMI and power cables work directly, headsets typically connect via the same 3.5mm jack. Stands and faceplates are not interchangeable because the consoles have different chassis.
Is a cooling stand worth it for a PS4 Pro?
For a Pro that runs loud or warm, a cooling stand can help. Pro fans tend to ramp up under sustained load. Often the underlying issue is dust or dried thermal paste rather than insufficient external airflow, so a thermal paste service is the higher-impact fix. A cooling stand is supplementary insurance.
