Kinect for Xbox 360, the bar-shaped motion-and-voice sensor Microsoft launched in 2010. The original Phat 360 needs an external AC adapter to power Kinect; the Slim and E variants supply power directly through a proprietary AUX port. We stock replacement Kinect sensors, the AC adapter brick (for Phat consoles and PC use), mounting brackets and Kinect-to-Xbox-One conversion cables for hobby use.
Quick picks by use case
- Replacement Kinect: bar-shaped Kinect sensor for the Xbox 360, single AUX cable.
- AC adapter brick: needed for Phat 360s without the Kinect-ready AUX port, and for connecting Kinect to a PC.
- Mounting bracket: TV-top clip or wall mount for stable Kinect placement above the TV.

Xbox 360 Kinect. FAQs
Do I need an AC adapter for the Xbox 360 Kinect?
Yes if you have an original Phat Xbox 360. Kinect needs the external AC adapter brick to power up. The Xbox 360 Slim and 360 E added a Kinect-ready AUX port that powers the sensor through a single cable, so no separate brick is needed on those revisions.
Can the Xbox 360 Kinect work with a PC?
Yes, with the AC adapter brick (which provides USB) the original 360 Kinect can be used as a development sensor on a PC running the Microsoft Kinect SDK or open-source drivers. The adapter is the key part; the sensor itself is a USB device once powered.
Is the Xbox 360 Kinect the same as the Xbox One Kinect?
No. The Xbox One Kinect is a redesigned sensor with higher resolution, time-of-flight depth sensing and a different connector. The 360 Kinect can't plug directly into an Xbox One; the One Kinect can connect to a PC via the Microsoft adapter, but that's a separate accessory.
Are Kinect games still being made?
No new commercial Kinect titles are being produced. The library is closed, but most discs are still inexpensive on the second-hand market and homebrew / development use of the sensor is active.
