Description:
The GBA Debug Cart is a simple cartridge-shaped PCB designed to assist with debugging, diagnostics, and hardware projects involving the Game Boy Advance cartridge interface.
It provides easy access to every cartridge bus signal, allowing you to:
- Test and verify the GBA cartridge slot after repair or rework
- Debug or develop cartridge reader/writer hardware
- Solder wires or connectors to the labelled pads for custom hardware projects
Each pad is clearly labelled, and both surface pads and through-hole headers are provided for convenient signal tapping or wiring. The ENIG finish ensures long-term durability and excellent solderability during development or testing.
Further Info:
The PCB layout closely follows the GBA cartridge pinout and includes 32 data/address lines, power, and control signals, all broken out for easy probing.
It’s ideal for electronics hobbyists, developers, and repair technicians working on:
- GBA console motherboard diagnostics
- Flash cart development
- Slot connector testing
- Signal monitoring via oscilloscope or logic analyzer
Revision Log:
-
V1.1 – Added 32-pin pad breakout on rear of PCB
-
V1.2 – Added through-hole header pin option for easier prototyping
Disclaimer:
This is a debug and testing tool only and not a functional game cartridge. It is intended for technical and educational use.
