Description:

If your console is no longer reading CD or DVD format games, DVD movies or audio CDs it may be time to replace the laser lens.

NOTE: You must remove the anti static point with a soldering iron before use, a soldering iron is required to remove this ball of solder, the laser will not power up until removed.

Replacement SPU3170 laser lens for Sony PS2 Slim, found in many SCPH-7000X & 7500x model consoles, we recommend doing a physical check of your laser model and only replacing like for like where possible.

Console will need to be disassembled to install this product, this will void any warranty and done at owners risk. Please seek professional help if unsure.

Replacing the laser lens will normally require a soldering iron to remove an anti static point before installation.

Compatible with Sony PS2 Slim SCPH-7000X * 7500X series, please check compatibility before purchasing.

Identifying region:

The last digit of the model number indicates the region, for example SCPH-7000X could be 70001, 70002, 70003, 70004.

70001 = US
70002 = AU & NZ
70003 = EU
70004 = UK

The region is not important for laser compatibilit, but may cause confusion when trying to order parts, you can essentially ignore the last digit, if your console is a 75003 then it is deemed as 7500X series and would be compatible for parts listed for 7500X.

A soldering iron is required to install this part, as well as basic screwdriver tools for opening and dissasembling the console, tools not included.
