Replacement screens, batteries, analog sticks, button sets, charge ports and shells for the PSP 1000 / 2000 / 3000 / Go and the PS Vita 1000 / 2000. The PSP family ran from 2004 to 2014; the Vita ran from 2011 to 2019. Most spare parts are revision-specific, a PSP 3000 LCD doesn't fit a PSP 1000, and a Vita 2000 LCD doesn't fit a Vita 1000 (the 1000 uses OLED, the 2000 uses LCD). Verify your console revision before ordering.
Quick picks by repair scenario
- Easy entry point: a fresh battery, accessible via the rear cover on PSP, more involved on Vita 1000 (back cover) and Vita 2000 (full disassembly). Battery is the most-replaced single part across the PSP/Vita lifecycle.
- The crowd favorite: battery plus replacement analog stick. Vita and PSP sticks wear with use, and a fresh stick is a no-soldering swap on most kits.
- The pro choice: screen replacement, the headline Vita repair. The Vita 1000 OLED is harder to source than the Vita 2000 LCD; the PSP 3000 LCD is widely stocked.
The PSP / Vita repair ladder
- Battery replacement: most accessible. Watch for swollen original cells.
- Analog stick replacement: typically a screwdriver-and-ribbon job, no soldering on most kits.
- Charge port replacement: Vita uses a multi-pin port; PSP uses a barrel jack. Solder-replacement on most boards.
- Screen replacement: the involved repair. PSP 3000 is the most accessible. Vita 1000 OLED is the trickiest, heat-released adhesive and digitizer alignment.
- Shell replacement: for cracked or scuffed cases. Browse PSP shells.

PSP & Vita spare parts. FAQs
Are PSP 2000 and PSP 3000 LCDs interchangeable?
No. The PSP 2000 (Slim) and PSP 3000 (Slim & Lite / Brite) use different LCDs. The 3000 panel has a built-in anti-ghosting layer and different ribbon connectors. Buy the panel that matches your model. The PSP 1000 LCD is also distinct.
Does the Vita 1000 OLED have a separate digitizer?
Yes. The Vita 1000 has the OLED panel and a separate touch digitizer layer above it. Replacement is more involved than the Vita 2000 LCD-with-bonded-digitizer because the layers must be carefully separated and reglued. Plan for a careful evening's project; first-time modders may take longer.
Why does my Vita battery drain when off?
Two common causes. One: the battery itself has aged. Li-Po cells lose capacity over a decade. Two: the standby drain on Vita is non-trivial; modder community advice is to fully power off rather than sleep if the unit's stored. Replacement batteries restore the original spec runtime; chronic standby drain is firmware behavior, not a hardware fault.
Is fitting a new analog stick to a PSP / Vita hard?
PSP analog sticks are generally a screwdriver-and-clip job, accessible after removing the front shell. Vita analog sticks are more involved because both shells must come apart and ribbons disconnect. Most replacement sticks come on a small daughterboard that plugs in rather than soldering. Set aside an evening for a Vita stick swap.
