Quick picks for Xbox 360 controller refurb
- The most-installed fix: replacement thumbsticks for a controller with drift or loose centering. The most common Xbox 360 spare we move.
- The everyday refurb: thumbsticks plus a fresh face button kit and replacement triggers for a controller showing its mileage.
- The full rebuild: shell replacement, all-button kit, fresh sticks and trigger springs for a controller returning to daily use.
Xbox 360 controller repair priorities
- Thumbstick replacement: drift or loose centering is the most-cited Xbox 360 controller fault on aged pads. Stick caps swap without tools; full module replacement requires opening the controller.
- Trigger and bumper replacement: trigger return springs lose tension and bumper microswitches wear out on heavily-used pads.
- Face button kit: A, B, X, Y, D-pad replacements for sticky button feel or visible cosmetic wear.
- Shell replacement: cosmetic refurb on a cracked or scuffed controller.
- Internal console parts: replacement components for board-level repair where the console has known faults.
Worldwide delivery with tracking on every order. Message support if you need help identifying the controller revision before ordering thumbstick or trigger parts.

Xbox 360 spare parts. FAQs
What tools do I need to open an Xbox 360 controller?
A T8 or T9 Torx security bit (the Xbox 360 controller backplate uses Torx with security pins on most revisions), a Phillips PH00 for internal frame screws, a plastic pry tool to separate the shell halves, and tweezers for ribbon cables. Browse our modding tools for kits.
Are Xbox 360 thumbsticks plug and play?
Stick caps (the rubber-topped covers) pull off and push on without tools. The full stick module underneath is soldered to the controller PCB on most revisions, so a complete module replacement requires desoldering and resoldering. The product page specifies whether you're buying caps only or the full module.
Will Xbox 360 controller parts fit Xbox One controllers?
No. The Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers are different generations with different shells, board layouts and stick modules. Xbox One spare parts are in our Xbox One spare parts collection.
Can the Xbox 360 console itself be repaired?
Many internal Xbox 360 console parts are stocked for board-level repair. The original Xbox 360 family had well-documented hardware faults across its lifespan; component-level replacement work requires soldering experience and is best approached by experienced repair techs.
