A micro SD card is required to use the JR, there is no memory card included, you can use a card between 4GB and 32GB in side, it will need to be formatted in a Fat32 format.

You will need a GBxCart, Joey or Burnmaster to backup your own Game Boy and Game Boy Color game cartridges, once backed up these can be transferred over to a micro SD card ready for use with the Junior cartridge.

Backing up your games to play from an SD card makes playing your Game Boy on the go much more convenient, you only need to carry 1 cartridge rather than all of your originals. 

Please note that Flash carts use more battery power so you can expect a shorter battery life from your handheld when running this cartridge.
