Description:
Upgrade your Xbox controller with next-generation TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) Hall Effect joystick modules from Favor Union — designed for precision, durability, and zero stick drift.
Compatible with Series S / X and Elite 1 controllers
Favor Union have a long history of providing the highest quality components for controllers, and have been a supplier of Sony for PlayStation first party controllers along side the likes of Alps.
If you want to put an end to drift and endless repairs these TMR modules are the answer, they are the next step up from Hall sense modules and the latest available solution.
To install these yourself you will need to be reasonably comfortable with both desoldering and soldering of electronic parts, difficulty level medium, clean and high quality soldering is needed in order for your controller to work properly once installed.
Compatible with Microsoft Xbox official controllers, please note that opening the controller voids any warranty you may have with the manufacturer and installation of replacement parts is done at your own risk.
Includes one pair of TMR joysticks, it is recommended to replace both the left and right at the same time, there is no left of right module so each replacment will fit either the left or right side control.
Calibration using an online software tool may be needed once the modules are installed.
What are TMR analog sticks?
TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) joystick modules are a cutting-edge upgrade for Xbox controllers, offering superior performance, durability, and zero stick drift.
Unlike traditional analog sticks that rely on physical contact and wear down over time, TMR modules use magnetic field sensing with no physical contact between the magnet and sensor, eliminating drift entirely.
They deliver higher resolution and accuracy than standard Hall effect sensors, making them ideal for precise, responsive control in competitive gaming.
In addition they have lower power consumption and do not interfere with electromagnetic trigger buttons, making them ideal for the latest Xbox controller pads.
With a longer lifespan and no degrading contact points, these modules are perfect for high-use controllers, professional repairs, or anyone looking for a true performance upgrade.
Technical information: This analog joystick button control is compatible with Microsoft Xbox Series S / X and Elite 1 controllers, they need to be soldered onto the controllers mainboard.
There is no left or right module, you can use any module to replace a left or right, you can keep spares and change the left or right multiple times, it is recommended you install these as a pair but if you ever need to change one out you can change one at a time as needed.
The analog modules can be calibrated using an online tool for the center position and range of movement.
Requires technical installation, the parts must be soldered, you will need to also be able to desolder the mold modules.
Please note this will void any manufacturer warranty, opening your device could result in damage if done incorrectly, this is a DIY replacement part which is fitted at your own risk, please consult an expert if you are unsure.
A Philips screwdriver tool required to install this part (not included)
Calibrating the replacement joystick after installation:You may need to recalibrate the controller joysticks after installing the new modules, this can be done using the tool on the website: dualshock.tools-gihub.io
