The MayFlash F500 V2 is the stick that sits between a starter model and a tournament build - heavy enough and well enough made to be the last one many players buy, and open enough to rebuild if they want to.
Compatibility is the headline and it is unusually wide. One stick covers PS4, PS3, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, PC Windows, Android, and the retro mini consoles - Neo Geo Mini, SEGA Mega Drive Mini, Genesis Mini and Astro City Mini. PS5 is supported through MayFlash's own Magic-S Ultimate adapter or MagicBoots-S5 converter, sold separately.
Underneath the panel it is built to be opened. The F500 V2 accepts genuine Sanwa Denshi buttons and joysticks, the parts used in real arcade cabinets, so it works properly out of the box and becomes a platform for a full parts swap later. The clear acrylic top panel lifts off for custom artwork, which is half the appeal of owning a stick in the first place.
Weight is the specification people underestimate. At 2,480g with dual metal panels - a 320g top cover over a 920g base - it does not slide on your lap or creep across a desk during a long set. Light sticks are the single most common complaint about budget models, and this is not one of them.
MayFlash quote 1ms input lag across all platforms, achieved through firmware rather than claimed at launch, and the firmware has been maintained for years - recent updates added Xbox Series Share button support and L3/R3. Turbo is adjustable for speed, the D-Pad and X/Y analog axis modes can be exchanged for games that expect one or the other, and on PC both XINPUT and DINPUT are supported.
A 3.5mm headset connection carries game audio and online chat on PS4 and Xbox One, and both a Micro USB and a USB Type-C cable are supplied, so it connects to older and newer hardware without an adapter. The cable stores inside the body when you pack it away.
